Terms and Conditions

Terminology

• You - ('The Client')
• Me - (FAC Systems)
• The Project - The body of work undertaken, including website design, SEO, and related services.

What Both Parties Agree To

The Client Agrees To:

• Provide all requested materials (e.g., text, images) within a reasonable timeframe to complete the project.
• Review my work, provide feedback, and approve deliverables promptly.
• Adhere to agreed deadlines and the payment schedule.

FAC Systems Agrees To:

• Perform services professionally and within agreed timelines.
• Make reasonable efforts to meet deadlines set between us.
• Offer a reasonable number of revisions (up to 1 major revision) to design, layout, or colors until satisfied, or until both parties agree progress is unlikely. Additional revisions outside the project scope will be charged separately.

Website Development

• All FAC Systems websites are built on professional platforms to ensure responsiveness across major browsers and devices (e.g., mobile phones, tablets). Long-term compatibility with all updates from vendors cannot be guaranteed.
• Compatibility with outdated or obsolete browser software is not assured.
• Website hosting is included in all packages: £15/month for standard sites, £30/month for e-commerce sites (subject to change due to inflation). Hosting includes a CMS for self-management.
• Domain names must be purchased by the client. FAC Systems can advise on purchases, but domains should be registered to you. Provide login details near launch to connect your domain.
• Organic SEO is included, aiming for high unpaid search rankings via meta keywords, responsive content, quality links, and sitemaps. Paid SEO is excluded but can be recommended through affiliates.

Payments and Contract Lengths

• A 50% deposit is required to start each project, with the remaining 50% due upon completion. Work begins only after the deposit is received. Deposits are non-refundable once the first draft is commenced or sent.
• Website functionality is guaranteed for 3 years from launch, excluding third-party issues (e.g., hosting or platform cessation). A rolling contract applies thereafter until cancellation.
• FAC Systems reserves the right to charge up to 85% of total development costs if the client cancels after creation but before launch, scaled by project stage.

The Copyright

• The client owns or has permission to use all text, images, graphics, videos, or audio used on the website.
• FAC Systems retains copies of project files for at least one year and can provide them upon request.
• After full payment, the website will display a copyright notice with your business name. FAC Systems may add a small, unobtrusive link to credit the design, unless it detracts from your site.
• FAC Systems reserves the right to showcase your project in its portfolio or publications. Notify me before launch if you do not consent.

General

FAC Systems cannot guarantee error-free website functions and is not liable for third-party damages (e.g., lost profits) arising from website operation or downtime.

Changes to These Terms and Conditions

FAC Systems may modify these terms at any time without notice. Changes are valid upon posting and available on our website at all times.
